4.0 out of 5 stars A great entry system to VR, but runs too hot during heavy use for my comfort., January 26, 2018
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Pros: Inexpensive, capable Oculus Rift ready gaming machine. Very capable hardware at a bargain basement price.
Cons: Runs hot during heavy gaming. Over the top "styling", Wifi should be built in instead of taking a USB dongle.. Keyboard and mouse could use some work, but really splitting hairs here.

The red and black extreme styling is a bit over the top, but I've seen worse. What you get, is a quality machine, with pretty good parts at an absolutely amazing price.

The cooling, however is substandard due to the case design. You have three input fans and one exhaust fan. All of them variable speed. Yet the plastic front cover has only small top and bottom vents. This seems to provide unnecessary restricted airflow. Taking off the front cover opens up the fans, but also the possibility of something catching on them.

And while I've never had a problem, yet, my GPU did approach to 90C during a heavy gaming period. If you are... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars A Gaming System at a great price VR Mixed Reality Ready, October 8, 2017

Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a day one review and I am sure I will up date it over the next few weeks. First background I have been building my own computers since the 80's and gave up on it in the early 2000 hand made v premade cost did not make since any more. So I was buying pre built systems from Dell and an Alienware Alpha being my last pre built before this one. I am interested in the Microsoft Mixed Reality Headsets. None of my current systems work with it..
A bit of research and I was about to buy another Dell when I checked Amazon to see what they have to offer and I found this system. The price is very impressive for the specs it has. I was also trying to build my new system and I could not touch the price..

This system has a good amount of expandability and it has a 7th gen processor the I5 is very good and as time passes you could put in an I7 as the price drops. The price will drop as the 8th gen chips are out. the memory is expandable to 64 gigs. One of the first upgrades... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars I decided to write a review because the ad doesn't have all the information that I would like to have, October 4, 2017
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Just received this pc yesterday October 3rd. It arrived undamaged and works as expected. I decided to write a review because the ad doesn't have all the information that I would like to have, such as which manufacturer the motherboard and graphics card comes from, as well as the power supply.
Specs on the one I received are as follows:

CPU: Intel core i5 7400
Motherboard: ASUS Prime B250M-A (MSI B250M bazooka is the one pictured as far as I can tell)
GPU: MSI RX 580 4GB ARMOR (pictured in ad as far as I can tell)
RAM: 2x4GB sticks of ADATA 2400
PSU: ATNG POWER CO., LTD MODEL: ATM-500FB (not specified in ad and I couldnt find any specs or reviews online)
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB 7200 RPM
Case fans: Apevia branded
Case: Aluminum (I believe) with acrylic front and side panels. Cooler Master: Master Box lite 5

Pros: Quality parts except for the lack of a name brand PSU. I couldn't build this on pcpartpicker for the same... Read more
